Stable Positions - comprised of one or more stablecoins. Stablecoins are designed to be fiat pegged and trade reliably at a given face value. Swapping into a stable position typically implies a bearish bias about the general market.
Examples:
100% USDT
20% USDT / 50% USDC / 30% DAI
Volatile Positions - comprised of one or more assets that are not defined as a stablecoin. Swapping into a volatile position typically implies a bullish bias about the general market.
Examples:
100% WMONAD
30% WMONAD / 50% WETH / 20% WBTC
Adaptive Positions - these are dynamic and change depending on their governing strategy's logic. They can be both stable and volatile, and may even fluctuate between both states as specific conditions are met. These positions are reserved for advanced users and can only be accessed by enabling the advanced UI. Swapping into a adaptive position can come with both bearish and bullish biases in them by executing according to nuanced directives as some predetermined condition is met.
Examples:
Current WBTC price is $60,000. Position begins with 100% USDT and will stay in this state as long as 1 WBTC is ≥ $30,000, and will change to 100% WBTC when 1 WBTC is ≤ $15,000. The limit buy schedule that makes this portfolio swing occur happens by swapping 10% of initial USDT each time WBTC drops another $1500 interval below $30,000
50% WBTC / 45% WETH / 5% WMONAD when ETH/BTC is ≥ .05, and 40% WETH / 60% WMONAD when ETH/BTC is < .0499
